Expert Advisers are tested on trading instruments available on the MetaQuotes Demo server. M1 data is used for tests (exceptions are possible). If the server does not have the required instrument, then its quotes will be loaded from an alternative source.
Quotes of trading instruments go through the data preparation process:
A fixed spread is set, corresponding to the average spread for a particular symbol according to Forex.com.
The number of ticks in minute data is normalized.
To simulate the server time of different brokers, time-shifted quotes are used.
To conduct stress tests, the quotes are inverted, sorted in reverse order.
